First up is Iron Sky, a Finnish-German co production. This is the first time I am hearing about this film but it definitely seems interesting and is a completely different take on the Nazi invasion idea.

Iron Sky is a scifi movie that takes place in the year 2018, when the Nazis, who fled the Earth to the dark side of the Moon in 1945, return to claim the Earth. The film is a Finnish-German co-production, filmed mainly in English, with a budget of 6.5 million euros. It’s directed by Timo Vuorensola and produced by Tero Kaukomaa (Blind Spot Pictures), Samuli Torssonen (Energia Productions) and Oliver Damian (27 Films Production), with a screenplay is written by the acclaimed sci-fi writer Johanna Sinisalo (Nebula Award nominee 2009, Finlandia 2000) and Michael Kalesniko (Private Parts). The cast includes Julia Dietze (1½ Ritter), Götz Otto (Schindler’s List, The Downfall), Tilo Prückner (The Neverending Story, Die Fälscher) and Udo Kier (Dogville, Dancer in the Dark).

Up next is Easy A starring Emma Stone (Zombieland), Amanda Bynes, Lisa Kudrow and more. This movie comes off as a Scarlet Letter movie but where the bearer of the letter is actually rebellious and embraces her punishment. It is also probably funnier than that book you had to read in high school. Please leave your thoughts about the movie in the comments section.

After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne’s in “The Scarlet Letter,” which she is currently studying in school – until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.

The Adjustment Bureau0 This Week In Trailers: Nazis from space to a Scarlet Letter teen comedy

The third movie trailer for this week is The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt.

Official Synopsis: Do we control our destiny, or do unseen forces manipulate us? Matt Damon stars in the thriller The Adjustment Bureau as a man who glimpses the future Fate has planned for him and realizes he wants something else. To get it, he must pursue the only woman he’s ever loved across, under and through the streets of modern-day New York.

On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt)–a woman like none he’s ever known. But just as he realizes he’s falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart.

David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself–the men of The Adjustment Bureau–who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path…or risk everything to defy Fate and be with her.

The Adjustment Bureau is written for the screen and directed by George Nolfi (writer of Ocean’s Twelve, co-writer of The Bourne Ultimatum). It is based on a short story by Philip K. Dick (“Total Recall,” “Minority Report” and “Blade Runner”).

The final trailer is for J.J. Abrams’ super secret project, Super 8, which may be a monster movie but is definitely not related to Cloverfield in any way whatsoever.
