Inception Movie Review- It Will Blow Your Mind

Yesterday I got to see an advanced screening of Christopher Nolan’s mind-blowing movie, Inception. This dreamworld heist film stars Leonardo DiCaprio (The Departed), Ellen Page (Juno), Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai), Tom Hardy (Bronson), Cillian Murphy (Red Eye), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight), Lukas Haas (Alpha Dog), Tom Berenger, Marion Cotillard (Nine), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Lookout) and Pete Postlethwaite (Solomon Kane). The film’s score was also composed by Hans Zimmer.

I’m calling it right now, Nolan will win the Oscar for best original screenplay because the script is that freakin’ brilliant. I found myself engulfed by the sophistication of the film and couldn’t believe what was unfolding before my eyes.

Christopher Nolan has found a way to blow the audience’s minds again; first it was Memento, then The Prestige and now Inception. It only took him four seconds to twist the enitre film in a complete 180 resulting in the audience yelling out in utter astonishment. Now I know this is going to be up for best picture but how to you compare something like this whith Toy Story 3. It is impossible to compare the two because of how radically different they are. But be prepared because this year’s award ceremonies are going to be interesting.

Inception comes out this Friday but check out my review below to prepare yourself for the trippy dream world that lies ahead.

Inception was a great movie but I don’t think it was the greatest movie ever. I thought there should have been some recognition of how wrong it was that they were planting an idea in a person’s head and using the want of love from their father to manipulate him. That is pure brain washing and should not be disguised as “inception.” I watched Inception again in 1080p HD on my DISH Network employee receiver and I noticed a lot of details but I’ll have to watch again and look for this 528 theme. I never watch anything other than HD any more since I have 200 HD channels to get all the variety I want.
