The Madness of King George was the fist movie I saw her in. Which was excellent. But my top pick would have to be The Queen.

Some Mother’s Son – it’s not her best performance, but the subject – the irish hunger strikes of 81 – is among the most contemporary and real that she has done.

    Hi,

My favorite Helen Mirren movie is Red. Although I loved her performance in The Queen it was very refreshing to her in an action comedy. She definitely held her own. Don’t laugh at me for saying this, but while it is nowhere near my favorite Helen Mirren film, I actually enjoyed Teaching Ms. Tingle as well. I haven’t seen it in ages, but at the time I thought it was funny and I loved her character.
