Will It Ever Get Made?Back in April 2011 I posted about an interview Keanu Reeves did with MTV where he not only confirmed that he was interested in making a third Bill & Ted film (he was actually downright enthusiastic), but that the script was being written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who wrote the 1989 original and 1991 sequel.

Now we’ve finally gotten an update.  Coming Soon reports that both Reeves and his co-star Alex Winter have recently confirmed that the project is still moving forward.  In a recent interview Reeves was asked if there would be a Bill & Ted 3 and he responded, “Yeah, we have a script. We’re trying to put it together. It’s a good script too.”

Not to be outdone, Winter tweeted the following yesterday: “Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!”

So I guess it’s up to Reeves, Winter, Matheson, and Solomon to find the funding to get the project moving.  To be honest, and I don’t know why, I’m way more excited to see this than a Ghostbusters 3, and probably more than any other sequel in development and yet to be greenlit except for Anchorman 2 or Sin City 2.  But then again, I’m pretty weird.
