Last night, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards and, for the most part I’m pretty satisfied with the results. Not like this awards show is taken very seriously, as you can tell with how relaxed everyone is, but it’s great to see certain films and performers get recognition somewhere, especially since you know they won’t likely get it at the Oscars (I’m talking to you Leo-not sure why the Academy doesn’t like you).
If you missed the show, below is the complete list of winners including both the television and feature film categories. The one surprise I found was the selection of McConaughey (his first nomination at the Globes as well) for best dramatic actor. I thought he was good but felt his performance in Mud was better and that there were better performances in that category, I’m thinking either Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tom Hanks or maybe even Robert Redford had a better shot then him. I was very glad to see that Breaking Bad took home Best TV Drama and Best Actor in a TV Drama, as I think this is their final hurrah on an awards stage for this specific show.
Any who, check out the list below and let us know what you think of the winners.
