Despite a ton of big names, this year was pretty weak for Oscar nominees. Many of the films or performers I thought should have been, at the very least, nominated weren’t and those that were, should not have been. Despite some of my cynacism, Billy Crystal did a solid job as host once again, a friend of mine’s father took home an Oscar for his live action short and Meryl Streep finally, and rightly, won her third Oscar after being nominated for a record setting 17 times.
In case you decided to skip the show last night or just couldn’t make it through the entire show, here is the complete list of Award Winners.
