Today, Sony tweeted some hi-res images via Flickr from their upcoming Ghost Rider sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengenace. The images are the same ones that were scanned online from Empire Magazine’s upcoming issue but now we have them in crystal clear quality! And, like I said at Comic Con, Ghost Rider 2 promises to be 100 times better than the first and extremely badass.
The film is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank) and stars Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Ciarán Hinds and Violante Placido.
The film sees Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the kid’s birthday.
