There’s so much anticipation behind Simon Curtis‘ My Week with Marilyn, starring two-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, and four-time Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh as Sir Laurence Olivier. However, the film which was originally slated for a November 4th premiere has been pushed back to Thanksgiving weekend, according to Deadline.
The movie made its 2011 New York Film Festival debut this weekend to strong, headline-making reviews for the lead performances, including Tony-winner Eddie Redmayne who plays production assistant, Colin Clark.
The Weinstein Company movie won’t be in theaters until November 23rd, just in time for awards season. With a change of release dates, the film is more likely to play until the end of the year, familiarizing audiences with the story that will surely get Williams and Branagh Oscar nods.
The anticipation is all the more electric and I’m counting the days for its premiere! Does this change in date change your plans for seeing the film? Check out Alex’s excellent review for the movie and keep following Movie Buzzers for more news!
