We can finally see John Cusack (sort of) in action as the legendary writer Edgar Allan Poe in James McTeigue’s The Raven. The Huffington Postwas the first to offer up images of the actor actually posing in character, instead of random paparazzi shots of Cusack on set. Check out the images by clicking on more!
While Movie Buzzers has previously posted about this film, here’s the official IMDB plot synopsis to refresh your memory: “A fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe’s life, in which the poet is in pursuit of a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer’s stories.”
Shortly after the above picture became public, Cusack himself took advantage of some appropriately gloomy lighting to tweet the picture below in costume, as per HeyUGuys:
Also on board are Alice Eve (She‘s Out of My League), Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans), and Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides).
While we anticipate a 2011 release, we can only imagine the gloriously gory and mind-bending mystery that the V for Vendetta director is delivering about the famous writer and his imagination. Check out our previous article about the film for more info!
