It should come as no surprise that Entertainment Weekly has a few new photos from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. About this time they usually put out an issue which talks about the big movies coming out in 2012 and this year Christian Bale was lucky enough to grab the cover in his Batman suit from the upcoming film.
The magazine should be hitting mailboxes in the next few days and will go on sale at retailers probably this weekend. Inside the issue we get some pretty cool up close looks at both Batman and Bane (Tom Hardy). On top of the picture there are quotes from Nolan inside the issue talking about the film but more notably about Bane. I haven’t read the article yet but there is a quote going around the Internet from the issue in which Nolan addresses Bane’s voice in the film and his character.
I think when people see the film, things will come into focus. Bane is very complex and very interesting and when people see the finished film people will be very entertained by him.
There were reports that Bane’s voice had been tinkered with so that you can understand him better which is great because that was my only complaint during the special screening of the six minute preview of the film.
I’m sure many fans are excited about seeing a new trailer for the film during the Super Bowl this year, but news has hit from The Los Angeles Times that Warner Bros. will not be placing a trailer for the film or any of their other films (The Amazing Spider-Man, Men in Black 3) during the biggest single sporting even in the country. Sad, but not entirely shocking. It isn’t smart to show the destruction of a football stadium during a football game. Not that people would really care but its more of one of those unspoken rules.
