In case you haven’t heard, there is a movie coming out on May 4th called The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon. It’s a little film from Marvel that teams up Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk along with Black Widow and Hawkeye to save the world from Loki, Thor’s evil adopted brother. But you probably already knew that because you have seen the five films leading up to The Avengers already. Oh wait you haven’t? Well we’ve got an event for you!
Cinemark Theaters has announced that they will be hosting an Avenger movie marathon leading up to the midnight release of The Avengers starting at noon on May 3rd. The films will be shown in order of how they technically take place in the Marvel Universe which means the marathon will kick off with the film that started it all, Iron Man.
Here is the complete schedule for the films and it should be noted that Thor, Captain America and The Avengers will all be shown in 3D.
- 12:00 PM – Iron Man
- 2:50 PM – The Incredible Hulk
- 5:00 PM – Iron Man 2
- 7:20 PM – Thor
- 9:30 PM – Captain America: The First Avenger
- 12:01 AM – The Avengers
Unfortunately not everyone will be able to experience this marathon, because it will only be shown in 25 cities across the U.S and for some reason, the majority are in smaller market cities.

Strangely enough, 6 of them are in Texas and even one in Alaska. Needless to say this is a strange choice of theaters especially since New York won’t be getting in on the action.
If you happen to live in or near one of these theaters, tickets are actually really cheap for the event and will only cost you $20, which is a heck of a deal when you factor in the 3D aspect of it.
So if you have never seen any of the films or just want to watch them all again, gather up $20 and fifteen hours of free time and get ready for more Marvel awesomeness then you can handle.
