Unleash the Kraken! Full NYAFF 2012 Lineup Annoucned! Guests include Donnie Yen!!!!!!

Whether you are just dipping your feet into Asian cinema or are an avid Asian cinephile, if there was one New York Asian Film Festival to attend, it’s this one!  Not only is Choi Min-Sik going to be in town to discuss his new film Namelss Gangster but the legend that is Donnie Yen will also be in attendance (giggle like child now)!  Let’s also throw in screenings and premieres for Doomsday Book, Takeshi Miike’s Ace Attorney, and Infernal Affairs 1 and 2 to celebrate its 10th anniversary for good measure.

Many more filmmaker appearances, including Will Yun Lee and the creative team behind Square Enix’s upcoming Hong Kong cinema-inspired video game Sleeping Dogs – these guys are awesome and they’re also putting on a back-to-back, tenth anniversary screening of INFERNAL AFFAIRS 1 & 2.

Presented in partnership between Subway Cinema and the Film Society of Lincoln Center with programming support from Japan Society, America’s biggest festival of popular Asian film will showcase over 50 feature films and three programs of short films from Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan,Thailand, USA and Vietnam.
