Earlier this week we posted a still for Disney’s upcoming film, Wreck-It Ralph, based off an 8-bit video game villain who gets tired of being the villain and want to try and shed this persona, all while wrecking havoc in the video game world.
The trailer seems to take some pages from Pixar but looks really entertaining. There are a ton of little easter eggs in the trailer so be sure to keep an eye out for them.
John C. Reilly does the voice for Ralph and really brings that comedic dynamic to the film, which can sometimes be lacking in these animated features. While the film looks pretty promising and a good time for kids and especially video game nerds, I’m not entirely sold on it. Like I said, it looks decent but for some reason there is something that is rubbing me the wrong way about the film. I sort of get the Mars Needs Mom feeling and while I hope it doesn’t have the same faith as that film, I’m just not sure how strong it will be at the box-office.
Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters November 2nd.
