Tuesday we brought you the first footage of Brad Pitt in Marc Forster‘s World War Z adaptation. While there were some concerns with the teaser trailer, it was too soon to make a sound judgment on the film that has seemed like it’s been in production hell for the past few years. Luckily today, the moment has come where we can finally see what we can expect exactly from the film with the world premier of the first trailer for the film.
While we know there have been some drastic changes between the book and the film, after watching the trailer, I feel like things will be OK and this might actually turn out to be one entertaining flick. So without further ado here is the trailer for World War Z.
Ok, so lets talk. If you had no idea the book was about a zombie apocalypse, I don’t think you would know those things attacking the city were zombies. We never really get a good shot of one of them and also their movement is not what people are used to seeing when watching a zombie film. Granted 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later did have super fast zombies, but still it’s hard to tell in World War Z. Now, what we do see is tons and tons of action which for an action junkie, is a good thing. We also get a better understanding of the story in the film which is basically an outbreak has happened, the human population is being eradicated, Brad Pitt somehow seems to know how to potentially stop the “outbreak” and save the world, and it seems the government was behind all of this.
So again as you can see, the film is totally different than the book, which is something we have known for quite sometime. Will it satisfy both old and new fans? Only time will tell, but hopefully they pick the promotions up for the film and really make a strong push for the June 21st release next year.
