While most pieces of entertainment covered at Moviebuzzers are films set for the silver screen, SMI Entertainment’s Steven Llous is proposing something slightly different. As he puts it: ” The challenge: To produce, direct and write a transmedia sci-fi/drama property that will entice audiences from all around the world, allowing people to experience this story through multi-platform touch points.”
Personally, I love the idea of transmedia stories, a the technology to make them happen is relatively new and thus a lot of ground has not yet been covered. However very little is known about exactly how “transmedia” this will be, so all we have to go on is the below teaser for 2088. As it happens, the trailer looks quite cool, showing two cops (of the non-human division) about to handle a case, when a robot attacks them. It’s a nifty way of showing the world (I personally get the impression the film will focus more on the world of 2088 than any individual characters), and it has certainly done its job in whetting my appetite for more.
