In some cases a movie’s title alone will make you want to see the film. Sometimes this backfires — witness the disappointment following Snakes on a Plane, for instance. But I have a feeling that even if the film I’m writing about today turns out to be garbage, at the very least it will be nice to look at. Why’s that? Well, UK studio Black and Blue Films has announced a film titled Strippers Vs. Werewolves, and like the title of my post says, I think in this case the audience will end up the real winners. Hit “more” for some info on this upcoming film!
Strippers Vs. Werewolves will be directed by Jonathan Glendening (13Hrs), and was written by schlocky (and I mean that with all good intentions!) horror film writer Pat Higgins. It’s expected to start filming in April. According to IMDB, the plot description of the film is what you’d expect:
When werewolf chief Jack Ferris is accidentally killed in a strip club the girls who work there have until the next full moon before his bloodthirsty wolfpack seek murderous retribution
Among the film’s strippers will be Barbara Nedeljakova (Hostel, pictured at the top) and Adele Silva (Doghouse). The non-strippers (at least I hope non-strippers) will include Billy Murray, probably most famous from the BBC series The Eastenders. The strip club owner will be played by Sarah Douglas, who we all know and love as Kryptonian super-villain Ursa in Superman II.
Definitely sounds like a lot of fun in the horror/comedy grindhouse sense. But what do you think? Once the strippers take out the werewolves (come on, you know they’ll win), who do you think is next on their hit list? Let us know in the comments below!
