People never seem to learn that when you mess with Liam Neeson you’re gonna have a bad time.
Under the directorial hand of Jaume Collet-Serra, the man who also directed him in Unknown, imagine Liam Neeson, badass, stars as a U.S. Air Marshal on an international flight when someone texts him that he’ll kill one person on the flight every 20 minutes until he receives $150 million in an off shore account. After that’s done the hijacker inserts another twist into the equation: the account belongs to Neeson and now everyone thinks he’s the hijacker. Neeson must now figure out how to stop the hijacker from doing his real damage before the US Government and the passengers on board take him down and convict him of terrorism.
After watching the trailer this movie could go one of two ways, it could be really, really awful or a whole lot of mindless thriller fun. Naturally, like all of you, I’m hoping for the latter because I like the clever twist the film takes on the generic hijacking formula but I also thoroughly enjoy seeing Liam smacking up some punks and am really digging the supporting cast comprised of Julianne Moore, Anson Mount, Michellle Dockery and Corey Stoll.
Non-Stop isn’t set to hit theaters until February 28th, 2014 but you can get a feel for the film right now by checking out the trailer below and seeing if it’s something you’d be interested in.
Global action star Liam Neeson stars in NON-STOP, a suspense thriller played out at 40,000 feet in the air. During a transatlantic flight from New York City to London, U.S. Air Marshal Bill Marks (Neeson) receives a series of cryptic text messages demanding that he instruct the government to transfer $150 million into an off-shore account. Until he secures the money, a passenger on his flight will be killed every 20 minutes.
