I am an unabashed fan of Wes Anderson‘s movies. He’s one of the few filmmakers whom I’m anxious to know every detail about his upcoming projects because I can’t wait to experience the movies he makes. After earning rave reviews for last year’s Moonrise Kingdom, Anderson is prepping his next film: The Grand Budapest Hotel. And now we finally have a trailer!
The film stars Ralph Fiennes, who demonstrates in the trailer that he’s a perfect fit for Anderson’s type of storytelling as a swindler concierge at the titular hotel, and newcomer Tony Revolori as his trusty sidekick, the lobby boy Zero.
The cast features a virtual all-star lineup of actors from Anderson’s previous films, including Owen Wilson (Rushmore, The Royal Tenebaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Darjeeling Limited), Bob Balaban (Moonrise Kingdom), Tilda Swinton (Moonrise Kingdom), Jeff Goldblum (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou), Willem Dafoe (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Fantastic Mr. Fox), Adrien Brody (The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox), Edward Norton (Moonrise Kingdom), Harvey Keitel (Moonrise Kingdom), Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom), and of course, Bill Murray (Rushmore, The Royal Tenebaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom)
As for those new to Anderson’s work, that list is equally impressive, including F. Murray Abraham, Jude Law, Saorise Ronan, Mathieu Amalric. It’s set for a 2014 release.
Well, why am I still typing? Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comments:
