Another year, another Academy Awards. The nominations for the 86th Academy Awards were announced this morning and man are there some serious snub surprises. Both Greengrass and Hanks were shut out for Captain Phillips, there was very little love for Inside Llewyn Davis, and Bruhl got shafted for Rush while Emma Thompson was ignored for Saving Mr. Banks. Oh, and no Pacific Rim for Visual Effects, are you kidding me?! Without ruining all the fun for you, check out the nominations below and let us know what you think. Personally, I’m a little disappointed in some of the nominations, or lack there of, for certain films and performances, everything else seemed to be locks long ago.
Final voting for the Oscars begins February 14, with ballots due back February 25.
