Albert Brooks is a very funny man who doesn’t always get the best roles — but when he gets a good one, he’s wonderful. So what will happen if Albert Brooks teams up with the top name in big screen comedy right now, Judd Apatow? We might get to find out, as Deadline reports that Albert Brooks is in negotiations to join Apatow‘s next film, which, as previously reported, is a “spin-off” of sorts of his box office hit Knocked Up, with Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their roles as married couple Pete and Debbie. Brooks is being considered in the role of Rudd‘s character’s father.
In addition, Megan Fox is in talks to join the film in an unspecified role. In fact, since Apatow is keeping the film’s details under wraps, I can’t even speculate what she might play, beyond an attractive female, I guess. Perhaps we’ll find out on June 1, 2012, when the film is to be released.
