Universal Pictures has just announced the anticipated released date of April 6, 2012 for the fourth “theatrical” American Pie film, American Reunion.
The film is expecting to bring the entire cast back which would include Jason Biggs,Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Eugene Levy, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge. Not all of these cast members have been confirmed, but I don’t see it being an issue since most of these actors haven’t been doing much lately. The film is being directed by the guys behind Harold & Kumar, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.
I’m actually very excited about the upcoming film unlike most people out there. I know the direct to DVD films kind of tarnished the franchise name, but if you just look at the “theatrical” films, all of them have delivered and have been enjoyable to watch. I expect nothing less from the upcoming film and hope it can deliver like the previous three.
