We still don’t know much about Paul Thomas Anderson’s as-yet-untitled upcoming film even though it is supposed to start production at the end of this month. Nonetheless, Deadline reports that the cast is coming together — Amy Adams, who seems to be doing just about everything lately, has joined the film as the wife of Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s character, as a founder of a religious movement that is said to be a thinly-veiled parallel to the rise of the controversial religion of Scientology. Along with the already announced Joaquin Phoenix, the report also claims Lena Endre (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) are being considered for other roles.
Anderson’snext film — whatever it ends up being called and whatever it ends up being about — isn’t set for release until 2013 from the Weinstein Company, so we have a while to wait. But you can be sure that when it finally gets here it will be a pretty big deal!
