Well folks, it’s official. Zack Snyder has selected Amy Adams to play Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman film, Superman: Man of Steel.
Snyder told the L.A. Times’ Hero Complex that:
“There was a big, giant search for Lois…For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”
I think this is a perfect selection for Lois Lane. The three time Oscar-nominee has a knack for playing strong feministic types, think Amelia from Night at the Museum 2 or Mickey’s love interest in The Fighter, and there is no doubt in my mind that she will conquer this journalistic role and make it her own. Well done Mr. Snyder and Mr. Nolan, you are definitely heading the right direction.
Superman: Man of Steel is expected to release in December 201e. The film stars Henry Cavill (The Tudors) as the legendary hero in tights.
