Darren Aronofsky’s Noah has added yet another cast member–this time acclaimed actor Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins will be playing the role of Methuselah, Noah’s grandfather and the oldest person in the Bible. He will now star alongside Russell Crowe, who is playing Noah, Jennifer Connelly and Ray Winstone.
In a tweet announcing the cast, Aronofsky said “i’m honored to be working with the great sir anthony hopkins. we just added him to the stellar cast of #Noah. #methuselahlives“. While it is unknown how large a part Hopkins will play, it is certain that his time on screen, however limited, will be captivating.
On a different note, Aronofsky tweeted a photo from the set where they are building the arc. It’s pretty cool stuff.
I dreamt about this since I was 13. And now it’s a reality. Genesis 6:14
