Last year when the Star Wars news broke, Harrison Ford had responded saying that he was open to the idea of reprising his role as Han Solo. Since then we’ve heard about spin-off films, that Michael Arndt would be working on the script for the next episode and that J.J. Abrams would be directing.
Ford was quoted saying that he wouldn’t “go to the next level of contract talks until there’s a script and director in place. Either could be a deal breaker” but things can obviously change very fast in this industry and, according to Latino Review, they have. Known for their big, and often accurate, scoops, the guys over at Latino Review claim this casting decision has been finalized and that Ford would be returning to play his legendary character.
This is awesome and it’s something I strongly approve of. I can’t say I’d be excited to see Carrie Fisher involved since her display at NYCC was off putting, personally, but this is exciting stuff and I pray that it’s true.
