Another month, another gallery, another reason why I’m going broke. That is basically the slogan for every patron of the awesome Bottleneck Gallery who are readying their Brooklyn based space for illustrator Chogrin’s final show in his “3” trilogy, titled 3NES Show, in which he has invited over 50 artists to submit three pieces of each of Nintendo’s three biggest titles, Super Mario Brothers, Zelda and Metroid.
The show features a ton of amazing artists showcasing some ridiculously awesome work. I’ve put together a pretty comprehensive preview of pieces that have been fully revealed around the net and confirmed but there are some really cool ones that have only been teased so I’ll add them once the full piece can be seen. You can check them out below as well as details on the upcoming gallery which will take place on September 6th (I’ll be there) as well as info on the upcoming preview sale.
Due to the amount of pieces in the show and the NFL opening (Denver anyone?), we will be holding two online previews on September 5th.
First preview: 1pm-1:45pm eastern.
Second preview: 8pm-8:45pm eastern.
If you can’t make the preview sale, any leftover work will be put on sale Saturday, September 7th at 12pm eastern.
Admission and drinks are free at the show. Each person who attends the show will also have a chance at winning a Nintendo Home Entertainment System along with games from each title.
Oh and we will have a couple consoles up so you can relive some of those childhood memories and find some flutes.
