I’m a terrible movie buff. In the wake of the Giants win against the packers I almost completely forgot that the Golden Globes were going to be on. Luckily I was able to catch some of it but for those of you who missed the funny awards ceremony entirely here is a recap of last night’s winners. There are definitely some obvious winners amongst the group but there definitely are some surprises for me, as I’m shocked with the Best Actor/Actress in a Comedy category (which I’ll explain further down the page). Take a look and leave your thoughts on what you thought of the show and the winners.

Is The Artist a musical by default since it is a silent film? ‘Casuse I didn’t see it as much of a comedy. I haven’t seen Midnight in Paris but I hear Wilso is great. Having seen all the other films, I believe Brendan Gleeson got robbed for this category only because I don’t see The Artist being a strong comedy.
Actress In A Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical
Michelle Williams, My Week With Marilyn
Jodie Foster, Carnage
Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids
Charlize Theron, Young Adult
Kate Winslet, Carnage
Much like The Artist, My Week with Marilyn was not a comedy nor a musical compared to the other four nominaitons and while I tihnk Williams’ performance was fantastic, she should be the drama category. That title was nominated for the wrong category.
