Now why didn’t I think of this one first?
Kevin and Dan Hageman, two Hollywood effects workers who have little experience in the realm of writing or directing, have had a pitch bought by Warner Brothers, and it has to be one of the best concepts for a film in a while. What’s the pitch about? Well, we’ve been watching Wile E. Coyote buy everything from roller skates to giant firecracker rockets from the ACME company for decades… so isn’t it about time that we see where are these contraptions are coming from? The film will take place in the ACME warehouse, so we’ll finally get to see who’s responsible for all the products that the Looney Toons characters have been using to blow each other up with over the years. Though it’s reported that the film will not star the Looney Toons characters, which is a bit of a head scratcher. The film will be a mixture of live action and CGI, so I’m thinking (hoping!) for something along the lines of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, definitely the best animation/live action hybrid film ever made and one of my all-time personal favorites.
The Hageman brothers will write the screenplay, though who might be directing or starring in this project — or whether this will be a children’s film or something more all-ages – it’s anyones’ guess right now. Hopefully Warner Brothers has enough sense to put a Looney Toons short before the film just to get the audience in the right mindset!
