We may not know what the story will be, what vehicles we will see, or who the actual villains are going to be, but we at least know where Christopher Nolan will be shooting the upcoming Dark Knight Rises this summer.
Thanks to state tax breaks, and Nolan stating,”Pittsburgh is a beautiful city”, the production of the Dark Knight Rises will begin filming sometime this summer is Pittsburgh. Originally it was rumored that the film would be shot in Detroit, however, seems like the filming incentives have finally dried up so Nolan and Co. were on the hunt for their next location.
There is no word if they are still planning on shooting in Chicago (which has been the home to Gotham City in the previous two films) or if they will just do the whole thing in Pittsburgh. Right now they have slated between four to six weeks of shooting in Pittsburgh.
So get ready fan boys, I’m sure once filming begins we will begin to see spy set photos popping up left and right just like last time. Hopefully we will have more confirmations about the film prior to this.
