So it’s fair to say Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t have the best of times on Oscar night, the talented actor once again walked away empty handed after being nominated for both Best Actor and Best Picture (as Producer). That hasn’t slowed him down though, with The Wolf of Wall Street star being attached to several upcoming projects, one of which is Blood On Snow, which has now found its director.
Daniel Espinosa, the Safe House director has been attached to the film in which DiCaprio will produce and possibly star in. Blood On Snow is a two-book series from Norwegian crime from novelist Jo Nesbø. According to reports, Blood on Snow‘s first installment will be released later this year, around the Fall/Autumn time, with the second film hitting next Spring. The story centers on a hitman who fails at his latest job in a big way. He falls for the intended target, who just so happens to be his boss’s wife, and is then forced to go on the run.
If Espinosa does get on board for the film he will be sure to bring a nice level of atmosphere and intensity, the likes of which we saw in Safe House.
