Well it looks like the wheels on the 300 prequel, 300: Battle of Artemisia, are starting to turn again. We knew the Zack Snyder would not be returning again and at the end of June Graham had reported that the shortlist of directors had been narrowed down to just two candidates, Noam Murro (Smart People) and Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan & Unknown).
Warner Bros has decided to go with Noam Murro, the man behind the great Halo: Reach commercials, because Jaume Collet-Serra had recently been selected to direct the live-action adaptation of Akira.
300: Battle of Artemisia was written by both Zack Snyder and 300 co-writer Kurt Johnstad so expect the same visual style we saw from the orginal. The film will be based off of Frank Miller’s upcoming graphic novel, Xerxes.
What do you think of Warner Bros’ choice?
