It feels like there has been a ton of build-up for Bryan Singer’s return to the X-Men franchise thanks to his daily tweeting of news and stills, and with the new sequel, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, hitting theaters on May 23 next year, it only seems right we finally get to see some footage. We’ve been waiting a long time for this trailer and rather than telling you all about the insane cast that reunites the cast from the original X-Men film and the one from X-Men: First Class, I’m just going to let you press play and take in the dramatic sounds of John Murphy and Hans Zimmer as our heroes prepare for a war…or try to stop one.
Pretty good, huh? It was a very different trailer than I was expecting that’s for sure. It gives us a broad idea of what the plot is going to be without getting too specific and ruining the details of the story (for those who haven’t read the comics). It’s just a bummer we only get a glimpse of Peter Dinklage and no sentinel footage but in time I’m sure that will change but it also sucks because this is the only trailer I’m going to watch before the movie is released.
