I figured since my first post here mentioned Clint Eastwood I would continue on that train of thought by posting the recently-released trailer to Eastwood’s next film, Hereafter, starring Matt Damon, who Eastwood previously worked with in his last film, Invictus. The film is due for release on October 22, but will debut at the New York Film Festival on October 10th. Check out the trailer after the jump and tell us what you think.
Matt Damon stars as a John Edward-like medium who can communicate with the dead, but leaves the seance line of work because, well, talking to the dead can sure get depressing. The tone of the trailer fits the film squarely among Eastwood’s recent thriller/dramatic films, like Mystic River and Changeling. Frankly this is where Eastwood tends to do some of his best work, so we can probably look forward to another strong award contender from him.
