Creator of the Hostel franchise, Eli Roth, is heading back behind the camera once again for Harker, about the Scotland Yard detective, Jonathan Harker, who is tracking down Dracula. What makes this story all the more juicy is that Russell Crowe (Les Miserables) is attached to star in the film as the blood-sucking vampire villain, according to Deadline.
The script is written by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy who are said to be reimagining Bram Stoker’s Dracula with Harker. The production is set to begin sometime next year, however it is still unknown who would be cast in the leading role as the titular character. The film is backed by Appian Way, as well as its partners Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Leonardo DiCaprio.
What do you think about Crowe getting on board the vampire train? Do you think he can pass as the legendary count of Transylvania? Are you interested in seeing more of Eli Roth’s directorial efforts?
