The first full length trailer for Michael Bay’s Transformers 4: Age of Extinction has hit the next with a vengeance and it’s got a lot going on, in a good way. While we still don’t have an official plot yet, but after seeing the Super Bowl spot and now this new trailer, it seems like the Dinobots and Autobots don’t start off as friends. This is something of a shocker to me and I only know this because Optimus lays a knockout punch on Grimlock in this trailer and then in that same scene, per the Super Bowl spot, ends up riding him like it’s his horse. Can you say, “who’s the bitch now?”
Furthermore, the villain(s) in this film are no longer just Decepticons but humans as well, which always tends to happen as the humans get cocky and think they can handle giant destructive mechs on their own (Sounds like an Avengers plotline). The coolest part about the lead Decepticon in the film is that his face turns into a giant gun, seriously. I’m not going to say anymore just click play and let us know if you’re getting a little bit more excited by this change of pace in the franchise, one that isn’t really for kids anymore.
Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and T.J. Miller. It opens on June 27.
