Now that Gary Ross is done with The Hunger Games, many are wondering what project he will take on next. While he was attached to The Secret Life of Houdini for some time, nothing was ever finalized. However his next project has now been confirmed, and it is magical as well. He is set to direct Peter and the Starcatchers, an adaptation of the book series of the same name, which is a Peter Pan prequel. The property has had some adaptation success before, being turned into a Tony-award winning play, and the show’s popularity seems to be one of the main reasons for Ross and company to get the ball rolling on filming, hoping to shoot in 2013. As someone who has seen the play of Peter and the Starcatchers, I can say that I think it would be a wonderful film, and Ross definitely seems to have the skills to make it a success.
