I’m going to reveal a potentially character damaging confession right now, I may have been the only person on this planet who wasn’t excited by the prospect of Anchorman 2 when the news for the sequel was announced! There’s just something really annoying about everyone claiming one of your favourite comedians (Will Ferrell) is their favourite actor, based solely off Anchorman – the only film they’ve probably ever seen starring Ferrell. So when Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues was announced, it was time to brace ourselves for another onslaught of quotes.
The first teaser trailer which was released didn’t inspire much confidence either, it didn’t show too much and the comedy wasn’t all that funny, but now a second trailer has been released and I have to say, I’ve been reeled in! The trailer (below) shows our favourite news team doing what they do best. With some amazing one liners (hopefully there’s more in the film than what we’ve just seen in the trailer) including Brian Fantana’s take on condoms with his world famous “jimmy cabinet”, some classic Brick and the news team smoking crack on air, the film looks like it’s setting us up for a lot more hysterics.
