We’ve been waiting, eagerly, 6 (long) years for the conclusion of the trilogy that seems to have taken the world by storm. The trilogy mixing horror, comedy, action and cornettos. Now, the wait is over as Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg bring us their epic finale, The World’s End.
Taking a Sci-Fi twist, the names joining Pegg and his regular on screen collaborator Nick Frost, will be Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Paddy Considine. The film is about five friends meeting up 20 years after an epic—but unsuccessful—pub crawl to try and re-create that night, and finally complete their pub crawl quest. The trailer reveals that things aren’t as straight forward as the gang hoped for when the group end up being slap-bang in the middle of an Alien Invasion.
With what looks like a promising end to the Cornetto trilogy, The World’s End opens in cinemas on July 19th (UK) and August 23rd (United States).
