While it may seem like Jackass has been around for ever, there still seems to be a huge audience for the pranks and stunts performed either on TV or in a movie. Jackass 3D made an astonishing $170 million world wide and naturally you knew that would be reason enough for Paramount to green light yet another film.
According to What Culture, Paramount has been busy with scooping up domain names for the film and seems like the title could be Jackass 4: Bad Grampa. If you are a fan of the show or seen any of the films, you will recognize this prank where Jonny Knoxville usually gets made to look like an Old man and goes around terrorizing and pulling pranks on unbeknown civilians.
While the Old person prank is one of my favorites, I don’t know how I feel about an entire movie around this. It is refreshing to see the 2-4 minute pranks in the film from time to time, but I don’t see it being an hour and a half film.
Here is a clip of the grampa pranks:
Hopefully this is just a working title and the Jackass gang has something really special in store ( I would expect some sort of In Memory of Ryan Dunn will be in order). Below is the list of domains that were recently registered by Paramount. I would expect an announcement in the next few months about the film and a release date.
