Bullet to the Head — the Sylvester Stallone/Walter Hill collaboration which was formerly titled Headshot — is quickly forming a cast. First, Latino Review reports that Conan himself, Jason Momoa, will be the film’s villain, whom we can assume is the target of Stallone‘s hitman character’s revenge. Momoais making some major moves between his upcoming role as Conan and his starring role in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Furthermore, Variety reports that Sarah Shahi(TV’s Fairly Legal) has been tapped to play Stallone‘s daughter, whom, we can assume probably stands around looking gorgeous and gets kidnapped. Variety also reports the otherwise unconfirmed rumor that Sung Kang (Fast Five) will be Stallone‘s co-star in the film in the role of the New York City cop role that was originally meant for Thomas Jane before he was deemed “too white” by the producers. Kang might have been cast in another role, but all signs right now seem to point to him taking Jane’s place.
As I’ve said before, it’s a total shame if Kang is put in the role just because of producer’s Joel Silver‘s rumored demands for a non-white actor in the role and not because Kang would make the best actor for the role, since Jane is perfectly suited for it, too. Why does it have to be about race? Sigh.
