Felicity star Keri Russell continues to shed her college-good-girl image by adding to her filmography with a new movie, Dark Skies, under the helm of Legion-director, Scott Charles Stewart, for Dimension films, according to Deadline. The film, which is being hailed as a horror thriller, will begin production later this summer.
It’s not yet clear what Russell’s role will be, however The Hollywood Reporter is sharing that “the plot involves an alien disguised as a human and a boy tagged to be abducted.” In addition, the movie is written by Stewart, and produced by Jason Blum whose credits include Insidious and Paranormal Activity for Blumhouse Productions.
Russell has recently wrapped production on the dramedy Austenland, and will also appear in the FX pilot for The Americans this fall.
