I’m starting to get a bit worried about The Hangover 2… it’s almost as if the “big cameo” for the film is taking over all the production buzz, which means either A) the cameos are really just that awesome or B) the script isn’t very good and a killer cameo or two is expected to save the film. Well, if the latter is true the filmmakers scored a cameo that might go down in history as one of the most unique film cameos in history. I can’t possibly spoil it for you, so hit more if you REALLY want to know!
Yes, the 42nd President of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton, will be making a cameo in the sequel to the smash hit, The Hangover.
I’ll give you a few moments to let that sink in.
You good? This is probably the most high-profile political cameo since John McCain appeared in Wedding Crashers. Bill Clinton happened to be in Bangkok — where the sequel is set — to give a speech and visited the set, deciding to film a cameo while he was there. Honestly I doubt the film will make any direct reference to Clinton’s Oval Office scandals, but as far as I know this is the first time a former president has made a cameo in a film… score one for the filmmakers!
The Hangover 2 stars the original film’s “wolf pack” of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha, along with the return of Ken Jeong. It is written and directed by Todd Phillips, director of the first film.
