Everyone knows the original Three Stooges were comedic gold. No matter your age, the show was funny because people like watching others get hurt. Somehow, the latest revamp of the classic show has missed the mark entirely and I’m still not sure what the film, directed by The Farrelly Brothers, is suppose to be about.
The latest trailer released from Twentieth Century Fox doesn’t justify the film because it still lacks a plot explanation. What we have is a bunch of clips featuring Larry (Will Sasso), Curly (Sean Hayes) and Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos) pulling their typical antics on each other, however it feels like it’s kid comedy as opposed to something that would appeal to everyone. Check out the trailer and judge for yourselves.
Luckily we have a synopsis for the film, so we kind of know what to expect from this train wreck.
While trying to save their childhood orphanage, Moe, Larry, and Curly inadvertently stumble into a murder plot and wind up starring in a reality TV show.
Now if anyone got that from the trailer, mad props to you.
The Three Stooges hits theaters April 13th.
