The Blind Side co-star Lily Collins has been all over the Hollywood radar lately since landing the lead role in Tarsem Singh’s The Grimm Brothers: Snow White. Due to this upcoming project, it seems that she’s no longer attached to Odd Thomas, opposite Anton Yelchin (Star Trek), as previous reported by mover bloggers everywhere. Nineteen-year-old Addison Timlin will now be the one to play Yelchin’s on-screen girlfriend, Stormy Llewellyn, as per Variety.
Timlin appeared in a recent six-episode run as a love interest of David Duchovny’s on Californication. You might also recognize the actress who played Clive Owen’s sick daughter in the thriller Derailed back in 2005, as well as from a stint on the short-lived ABC series Cashmere Mafia.
Screen Junkies reveals that Timlin beat out the likes of Emma Roberts (Scream 4), Kat Dennings (Yelchin’s Charlie Bartlett co-star), and Portia Doubleday (Youth in Revolt) for the part after news hit that Collin dropped out.
Movie Buzzers recently reported on the development of Dean Koontz’s novel for the big screen, and details behind the adaptation written by G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra writer Stephen Sommers. Variety also says that the story “follows a clairvoyant short-order cook who encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark forces. Sommers directs and is producing for the Sommers Co., along with Fusion Films partners John Baldecchi and Howard Kaplan.”
Shooting is set to begin next month in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For more news on casting details, check back with Movie Buzzers as we’ll be following this highly anticipated movie!
