The nominations for the 2013 Golden Globe awards are in! Regardless of what you think of the voting and nominating process of this awards show, they’ve done a nice job of balancing the favorites of the season along with some curve-balls thrown into the mix.
Lincoln leads the pack with seven nominations while Argo and Django Unchained follow with five a piece. I’m glad to see Django finally getting some recognition as it truly deserves every nomination it gets. I’m also happy to see Jack Black in the mix for Bernie and am surprised to see some love for Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Richard Gere in Arbitrage and even a nod to Rachael Weisz in The Deep Blue Sea. I’m also shocked to see Para Norman snubbed from the Best Animated Feature category, I thought that was a shoe-in for sure
Take a look at the nominations below and find out the winners on January 13, 2013 when the ceremony is set to take place, it is hosted by funny ladies Amy Poehler and Tina Fey so it should be good.
