One of the films I am looking forward to seeing the most come the end of the year is David Fincher’s take on Stieg Larsson’s novel, The Girl with the Dargon Tattoo. Like on the Social Network, Fincher had hired Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and NIN producer Atticus Ross to compose the score for his upcoming film. You also might remember that the duo won the oscar for Best Original Score.
Well after hearing the the Led Zepplin cover from the trailer, I became curious as to how the music would sound in the film. Well thanks to 107.7, we can now listen to about 7 1/2 minutes of the film’s score. It’s very different from the sounds we heard in The Social Network but definitely fits in with the mood and style of the film and book. It’s very atmospoheric and definitely in line with the tag line – ‘the feel bad movie of Christmas.’
I’ve embedded the sample from soundcloud below so click play, sit back, and take in the dramatic sounds of two award winning composers.

P.S. you can also here this on the film’s website but, unlike here, you have no control over what you hear.
