When we last heard about Die Hard 5 we had a finished script by Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and a setting (Russia) but no director — the previous favorite Noam Murro left the John McClane film to direct 300: Battle Of Artemisia. So it seemed like it was back to the drawing board for the producers.
But Variety is reporting that John Moore, director of Max Payne and Behind Enemy Lines, is in talks to sit in the director’s chair. I’m not particularly feeling the choice one way or the other, but I welcome a good — I don’t even need great — John McClane adventure.
Not much else to report on the film yet, but at this point expect a 2013 release.
