When was the last time you saw a R rated comedy that made you laugh the entire time and wasn’t raunchy at all? Prior to seeing Micmacs, aka Micmacs à tire-larigot, I couldn’t recall such a movie. Three days ago I was given the opportunity to see an advanced screening of the french movie Micmacs, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amelie). I had no expectations for this film and had only read the plot synopsis after receiving my free ticket. The result of my viewing is that Micmacs is a hilarious and genuine comedy that can be appreciated by people of all ages even if it is rated R.
