The Monkeys Go Ape$hit in this Awesome New ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer!

I’ve been saying for months that Rise of the Planet of the Apes is going to turn out awesome, and if this trailer is any indication, I’m correct.  We’re finally getting a majority of the plot in this trailer, and I don’t doubt that Caesar (played by Andy “Gollum” Serkis) will be one of the breakout characters of the summer movie season.  This trailer is filled with wall-to-wall ape action, and if not mistaken, I have a feeling this film will play REALLY well to the anti-animal testing crowd.  Me?  I’m just there to see monkeys smash crap.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, andJohn Lithgow, and is directed by Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist).  The script is by Rick Jaffa andAmanda Silver (The Relic) with rewrites by Jamie Moss (X-Men: First Class).  It hits theaters on August 5th.
