The number one terrorist in the world has been dead for about 72 hours, yet there is already work being done to make a film about Osama Bin Laden’s death.
It was reported by Comingsoon.net last year that director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) was set to re-team with writer Mark Boal to film a thriller about a squad of Black Ops soldiers. Variety is now reporting that the script was actually about the hunt for Bin Laden and is now being rewritten to incorporate the events that took place Sunday for the climax of the film. Apparently Boal followed some of the operatives that were involved in the take down of Bin Laden while he was writing the script last year.
The film is rumored to be called, Kill Bin Laden (This will definitely change) and will go into production sometime this summer, but given the recent developments, I’m sure they will fast track this script and begin production very soon. Now I wish I could find a copy of the actual video from the SEAL team when they took him out. Now that would be awesome to throw into the film!
